Last year the Loch Arts Council brought you popular South Gippsland band “Beggs to Differ” and a number of talented local musicians in its memorable Spring Variety Show.
This Spring we bring you a musical treat of a different kind. It’s called: A Wartime Tribute: Loch Celebrates the Fabulous 40s
The first part of the event takes place in the Masonic Hall and combines the music of the 40s with memories of the Second World War as recalled by seven of our older residents.
These memories will be brought to life through tableaus created by children from the Loch Primary School, photographs of the period projected onto a screen and the most stirring of Vera Lynne wartime songs sung by soprano, Bernie Hance.
Then the audience will adjourn to the Loch Public Hall to dance to all those 40s numbers you thought you’d never hear again, courtesy of the fabulous twenty-piece Rathdowne Street Big Band.
Don’t miss this night of nostalgia and fabulous 40s music. Organise a table of your friends or just come as you are. Get your tickets now!
